Something is in place that will ultimately shatter church as we know it.  We will be doing church differently very, very soon.

The Nuremberg Laws, as they became known, did not define a “Jew” as someone with particular religious beliefs. One of the first steps to Hitler’s plan to rid the world of Jews was to define who is and is not a Jew.  Once they are identified, the general public is bombarded with negative propaganda producing doubt, distrust, and ultimately hatred toward the Jews.  Teach the children.  Small groups of emboldened youth begin taunting, demonstrating, move into vandalism of property, then physical attacks and general persecution on individuals and small groups.  Jews are boycotted, laws of prohibition are passed, destroying commerce and income.  Land and property is confiscated.  Where do they go?

Ghettos are created.  When that doesn’t work, they’re sent to internment camps.  The camps become overcrowded and they’re sent to other camps to the Final Solution, systematic extermination.  No more secrets and smoke screens.  They know exactly what’s at the end of the train ride.

This happened but it can’t happen this exact way again and still work. Here in the land of the free and the brave, groups as large as conservatives and specifically fundamental Christians still remember, still know what happened to the Jews.  These procedures have to be masked and remade.  The slope has to be disguised, the lies leading to destruction made more subtle.  The intended victims of extermination have to buy into it up front, be convinced of the new logic until the laws are passed, until the laws work in unexpected ways.

People shouldn’t be mean to other people.  That’s Biblical.  We should show love and compassion.  That’s Christian teaching and if you’re not a professed Christian, it’s simple human decency.  Don’t offend people.  That’s not nice.  Get along.  Don’t pick a fight.  Can’t we all just get along?

Political Correctness has been birthed.  Don’t say short, say vertically challenged.  Don’t call her a housewife, she’s a domestic engineer.  How dare you deride people for what they are?  Homosexuals are no longer fairies — that’s negative and derisive.  They’re gay as in happy!  They’re individually expressive and have special rights.  To me,  it’s all in how you say it.  If you sneer the words domestic engineer, you still have an attitude and it’s still derision.  So what do we do to stop this incessant meanness?

We identify the insensitive speech as hate and we pass a law.  Hatred used to be a negative emotion, something protected by free speech, still negative and potentially hurtful, but still a fact of the human psyche, and protected because, really, how do you mandate thought and feelings? The way to stop hatred is to love.  Tell that to someone holding a gun on you or threatening to cut off your head with a dull blade.

Pass a law.  Or two.  Raise consciousness.  Teach the children.  Encourage the youth to live and let live in all circumstances.  Don’t shove your belief system down others’ throats, even when you believe your particular belief system has the solution for hatred.  It’s none of your business but somehow it’s become the business of government.

The government’s security force, still briefly known as Homeland Security has identified the most potentially dangerous group to be the pro-life right wing, conservative, religious fundamentals who just won’t allow other people’s feelings to be what they are, just won’t let go of the notion that life is valuable and begins at birth.  They annoy the snot out of women who just want to rid themselves of unwanted tissue by carrying signs saying awful things like “please don’t kill your baby” and “let me love you out of this.”  Horrible.  Pro-lifers are now called extremists and potential terrorists on the order of Timothy McVeigh.

The Christian who believes babies are people at conception are now identified as enemies of the state.  Extensive publicity is next, propagandizing their destructiveness.  Organizations are formed, whole groups will have the support of the government agency, Homeland Security, open now to adopt the same functions as Hitler’s Youth and the SS.

Currently the homosexual community, with a specific agenda, are fighting state by state to legalize same sex marriage.  That in and of itself will not change feelings for or against them and they know that.  What they want is not just acceptance which would imply assimilation.  They want approval.  They want sanctions and sanctification from all the hateful Christians who say they’re living in sin as practicing homosexuals.  One way to achieve their goals is to shut up Christians.  One way to shut up Christians is to exterminate them, but wait!  That’s too radical too soon.  First Christians have to be isolated and universally hated by more than just the gays.

Pass a hate law that prohibits any minister from any church from refusing to perform any requested church sanctioned marriage ceremony, that they must endorse the ceremony the same way all other marriages with “in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit”.  If they don’t, they’re in violation of the law and subject to the consequences thereof.  That should take care of the fundamentalists of the faith.

Iowa has endorsed same sex marriage.  Iowa has mandated that the language of “bride” and “groom” be removed from marriage certificates and licenses.  The new verbage is “Party A” and Party B”.   So much for assimilation.  Let’s go for one small elimination step.  So much for understanding the rights of the individual minister to refuse to marry AA and BB and AB and BA (are threesomes next?) on the grounds that it’s a violation of his faith.

The slippery slope is logical, managable, generous to all participants, a great equalizer, even fun, until you hit bottom or the bottom hits you.

why the resistance?

if Obama is in possession of a valid birth certificate that unequivocally proves his eligibility, why does he have a cadre of lawyers obstructing legal action to produce it and to end this debate once and for all?

At the time OB’s birth record was submitted in Hawaii, it was common to register an international birth, I believe within a limited time frame,  in Hawaii for the purpose of establishing citizenship.  It’s this registration he’s submitted for the public, not a certificate of his actual birth.

A victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist preacher Jeremiah Wright, the US mainstream media who abandoned any sense of objectivity long ago, Europeans who despise America largely because they depend on her, comics who claim to be dangerous and fearless  but would not dare attack genuinely powerful special interest  groups. Victory for style over substance, hyperbole over history, rabble-raising over reality.

Victory for those who prefer welfare to will and interference to independence. The following ’speech’ was written recently by an ordinary Maine-iac [a resident of the People's Republic of Maine ]. While satirical in nature, all satire must have a basis in fact to be effective.
This is an excellent piece by a person who does not write for a living. It is well worth reading ….. a lot of truth in these words ….trust me ….read it with tongue in cheek.

Normally, I start these things out by saying ‘My Fellow Americans.’ Not doing it this time. If the polls are any indication, I don’t know who more than half of you are anymore. I do know something terrible has happened, and that you’re really not fellow Americans any longer.
I’ll cut right to the chase here: I quit. Now before anyone gets all in a lather about me quitting to avoid impeachment, or to avoid prosecution or something, let me assure you: There’s been no breaking of laws or impeachable offenses in this office.

The reason I’m quitting is simple. I’m fed up with you people. I’m fed up because you have no understanding of what’s really going on in the world. Or of what’s going on in this once-great nation of ours. And the majority of you are too damned lazy to do your homework and figure it out.
Let’s start local. You’ve been sold a bill of goods by politicians and the news media.

Meanwhile, all you can do is whine about gas prices, and most of you are too damn stupid to realize that gas prices are high because there’s increased demand in other parts of the world, and because a small handful of noisy idiots are more worried about polar bears and beachfront property than your economic security.

We face real threats in the world. Don’t give me this ‘blood for oil’ thing. If I were trading blood for oil I would’ve already seized Iraq ’s oil fields and let the rest of the country go to hell. And don’t give me this ‘Bush Lied…People Died’ crap either. If I were the liar you morons take me for, I could’ve easily had chemical weapons planted in Iraq so they could be ‘discovered.’ Instead, I owned up to the fact that the intelligence was faulty.

Let me remind you that the rest of the world thought Saddam had the goods, same as me. Let me also remind you that regime change in Iraq was official US policy before I came into office. Some guy named ‘ Clinton ‘ established that policy. Bet you didn’t know that, did you?
Now some of you morons want to be led by a junior senator with no understanding of foreign policy or economics, and this nitwit says we should attack Pakistan , a nuclear ally. And then he wants to go to Iran and make peace with a terrorist who says he’s going to destroy us. While he’s doing that, he wants to give Iraq to al Qaeda, Afghanistan to the Taliban, Israel to the Palestinians, and your money to t the IRS so the government can give welfare to illegal aliens, who he will make into citizens, so they can vote to re-elect him. He also thinks it’s okay for Iran to have nuclear weapons, and we should stop our foreign aid to Israel . Did you sleep through high school?

You idiots need to understand that we face a unique enemy. Back during the cold war, there were two major competing political and economic models squaring off. We won that war, but we did so because fundamentally, the Communists wanted to survive, just as we do. We were simply able to outspend and out-tech them.

That’s not the case this time. The soldiers of our new enemy don’t care if they survive. In fact, they want to die. That’d be fine, as long as they weren’t also committed to taking as many of you with them as they can. But they are. They want to kill you, and the bastards are all over the globe.

You should be grateful that they haven’t gotten any more of us here in the United States since September 11. But you’re not. That’s because you’ve got no idea how hard a small number of intelligence, military, law enforcement, and homeland security people have worked to make sure of that. When this whole mess started, I warned you that this would be a long and difficult fight. I’m disappointed how many of you people think a long and difficult fight amounts to a single season of ‘Survivor.’

Instead, you’ve grown impatient. You’re incapable of seeing things through the long lens of history, the way our enemies do. You think that wars should last a few months, a few years, tops.

Making matters worse, you actively support those who help the enemy. Every time you buy the New York Times, every time you send a donation to a cut-and-run Democrat’s political campaign, well, dang it, you might just as well FedEx a grenade launcher to a Jihadist. It amounts to the same thing.

In this day and age, it’s easy enough to find the truth. It’s all over the Internet. It just isn’t on the pages of the New York Times, USA Today, or on NBC News. But even if it were, I doubt you’d be any smarter. Most of you would rather watch American Idol or Dancing with Stars.

I could say more about your expectations that the government will always be there to bail you out, even if you’re too stupid to leave a city that’s below sea level and has a hurricane approaching.

I could say more about your insane belief that government, not your own wallet, is where the money comes from. But I’ve come to the conclusion that were I to do so, it would sail right over your heads.

So I quit. I’m going back to Crawford. I’ve got an energy-efficient house down there (Al Gore could only dream) and the capability to be fully self-sufficient for years. No one ever heard of Crawford before I got elected, and as soon as I’m done here pretty much no one will ever hear of it again. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to die of old age before the last pillars of America fall.

Oh, and by the way, Cheney’s quitting too. That means Pelosi is your new President. You asked for it. Watch what she does carefully, because I still have a glimmer of hope that there are just enough of you remaining who are smart enough to turn this thing around in 2008.

1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.

2. AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.

3. OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said, “Drill we must.” But Biden has opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to “raping” the Outer Continental Shelf.”

4. TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the President of the United States had already said he would veto regardless of it’s passage.

5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.

6. ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org, Biden is exaggerating and overstating John McCain’s record voting for alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.

7. HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on people’s health insurance coverage — they get a tax credit to offset any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is false

8. OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits tax in Alaska — she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it’s not a windfall profits tax.

9. AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that could be applied in Afghanistan.

10. REGULATION: Biden falsely said McCain weakened regulation — he actually called for more regulation on Fannie and Freddie.

11. IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was “dead wrong on Iraq”, because Joe Biden shared the same vote to authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John McCain has been proven right.

12. TAX INCREASES: Biden said Americans earning less than $250,000 wouldn’t see higher taxes, but the Obama-Biden tax plan would raise taxes on individuals making $200,000 or more.

BAILOUT: Biden said the economic rescue legislation matches the four principles that Obama laid out, but in reality it doesn’t meet two of the four principles that Obama outlined on Sept. 19, which were that it include an emergency economic stimulus package, and that it be part of “part of a globally coordinated effort with our partners in the G-20.”
